    Call for Conference Programs

Are you interested in participating in the selection or creation of the conference program?  Do so in one of two ways:   1.  Join the 2009 Program Committee: Contact Kimberly Paugh at kpaugh@icbor.com.   2.  Submit a Program Proposal:  Did you know that anyone can submit a program to be considered for the Mid-Year Luncheon or the Indiana Commercial Real Estate Conference?  Download the Call for Programs for complete details and the Program Proposal form. Proposals for the Mid-Year Luncheon are due by March 13, 2009 and proposals for the Conference are due by April 30, 2009.    

  Call for Legislative Committee Volunteers

ICBR is organizing a legislative affairs committee with a goal of becoming more involved and visible in expressing the voice of the commercial real estate practitioner to our local and state legislators.    This committee will be charged with tasks including [to the extent resources and time permit:

  1. Generally promoting and encouraging member involvement and connection with legislative and governmental issues statewide.
  2. Engaging services on behalf of ICBR for monitoring the goings-on at the statehouse and the potential impacts to our industry.
  3. Establishing a) methodology for communicating legislative information to membership and b) a system for mobilizing membership as necessary to address issues with their legislators
  4. Promoting, effectively using the resources of, and fundraising for the Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC)
  5. Identifying ways to leverage other resources/relationships/organizations with common interests for maximum benefit to ICBR and the overall commercial real estate community
  6. Making policy recommendations to the ICBR board for endorsement and communication to membership and legislators.
